I'm not a hacker, cracker or any such thing, so I really have no recommendations for books or web pages to read here. So if you've got one or two (or twenty) please feel free to list them here. _________________ If this is paradise, I wish I had a lawnmower. |

| Wikipedia is always a good place to start, but if your story has anything at all to do with computer security, I would reccomend subscribing to Bruce Schneier's monthly newsletter, Crypto-Gram, which is just fantastic. It is located at http://www.counterpane.com/crypto-gram.html. Along those lines, the book In Code, by Sarah Flannery, was quite good, as well as the novel by Neil Stephenson, Cryptonomicon. Bruce Schneier's newsletter, website, articles, and books are all good sources of information on computer security, and I'm not just saying that because the guy is a riot to share a pint with (although he is)!
